I was first introduced to reflexology through my father-in-law. I was fascinated with how much he could learn about my physical and emotional state from touching my feet. As my family grew and my career path changed, I was looking for a career that would bring me personal and professional fulfilment while allowing me to care for my family. I completed my foot reflexology course in June 2017 and started my practice in February 2019. As I continue my reflexology journey my interests in specific techniques have grown. I have studied Foot Reading with The Foot Whisperer Sam Belyea, I am certified in Hand Reflexology, Ear Reflexology and currently studying Cranio-Sacral Reflexology (CSR) through CSR International.
Reflexology is a natural healing based on the principal that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every part, organ and gland of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation, and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body. Foot reflexology can improve foor pain caused by plantar faciitis, Morton's Neuroma and neuralgia. It is also very beneficial in improving circulation for diabetics and other circulatory condidtions.
Hand reflexology is beneficial for reducing symptoms of pain and stress. Reducing stress and being in a calm state can help your immune system to function better. Hand reflexology helps to reduce pain caused by carpal tunnel syndrom and helps clients that use their hands in repetitive motions (hairdresser, massage therapist, dental industry, nurses, etc)
Ear Reflexology also is known as Auricular Therapy, is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM.) Each ear contains a complete reflex map of the body, rich with nerve endings and multiple connectors to the central nervous system. Ear reflexology can help to relieve migraine headaches, increase attention and focus, relieve sinus infections, improve tinnitus symptoms, lower blood pressure, and support hormonal balance.
